May 2016 Wrap Up!

It’s nearly halfway through the year already! I’m shocked, even though I’m excited for some great beach reading this summer! In case you missed it, here’s what quick overview of what happened on BB&GT in May:

Teas I was obsessed with this month:

  • Tazo Zen: So I’m not the biggest fan of Tazo tea, nor am I a big caffeine drinker. But this seems to be an amount of caffeine that my body can tolerate! Plus, this green tea is a great tea to mix with others (it’s also free at work, which is an added bonus).
  • Korean Ginger Honey Tea: This is really similar to the citron variation I had a month or two back, but so much better. Ginger really gets me going in the morning, and the honey is an anti-inflammatory that helps with my allergies! When I want a bit of extra kick, I add the tiniest pinch of cayenne.

Instagram of books
I acquired far too many books this month. This isn’t all of them!

Pick of the month: A Little Life, by Hanya Yanagihara

Miscellaneous Awesomeness

This month was actually really great. I finally hit 300 WordPress followers, and  100 posts, which makes me feel far more prolific than I am. We’ve come a long way since August! Thanks for being a part of the journey with me!

Follow BB&GT on Goodreads, Twitter, and Instagram!

  1. My in-laws swear by the citron tea and drank it everyday when they were visiting! But I’ve yet to see the honey ginger one. I’ll have to check the Asian supermarket again next time!

Also, I picked up The Border of Paradise last month too! Now to make sure I actually read it…!

    1. The citron tea is so good! Also, the moment I’m done with the two ARCs I have on deck, I’m diving right into The Border of Paradise. The author is really responsive and great on Twitter, and I’d love to engage her more when I’m done!

  2. Congrats! 🙂 Constantly in awe of your ability to read and review so many books! That ginger tea sounds amazing. I’ve started adding curcuma, also anti-inflammatory, but love it best in the latte version. Have a great June!

That Rosa Parks is so good. Can’t wait to hear what you think of it.

    1. I’m excited to read it! I got it for a book club in April, but it arrived too late 😦
