March Wrap-Up! (It’s already April??!)

Is anyone else surprised that it’s already a fourth of the way through 2016? I forgot to do a wrap up for February, but I won’t make that mistake this month! Here’s a summation of everything that’s been on BB&GT in the last 31 days.

Teas I’ve been Obsessed With

  • IMG_3667Citron Tea with Honey: I picked this up from my local Asian market. It also goes well with my ginger tea.
  • Freya’s Spiced Apricot: I got this from Calabash, a tea shop near Howard University. Mix it with a tea called Kiss Me Guido!
  • The Republic of Tea’s Vanilla Almond: I don’t drink black tea, but I used this tea to flavor a vanilla almond buttercream frosting a few weeks back. It was GREAT– all I did was steep it heavily in the heavy cream that I was using to make the frosting.
  • The Spice & Tea Exchange’s Coconut Oolong: It smells just like coconut, which got me right in the mood for spring. There’s a groupon for them here!

  1. Some amazing books you’ve posted about this month. I am on the waiting list at the library for Writing My Wrongs. I can’t wait to read it.

Also – vanilla almond buttercream – yum!

    1. Funnily enough, it was really because I’d run out of vanilla extract. This was a great little substitute!

  5. What was your favorite book out of all the ones you read this month? 🙂 and yess, before we know it, it’ll be 2017!

    1. Awakening Kali and Citizen. But Citizen could have more to do with the fact that we discussed it as a whole book club. I get more out of books that way.
