My Ideal Bookshelf

My ideal bookshelfFor Christmas, I was (re)gifted a book called “My Ideal Bookshelf,” a compilation of 200+ authors’, artists’ and chefs’ favorite and most cherished books. It’s a great read, including influencers from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to Judd Apatow to David Chang.

Inspired by the book, I decided to make my own “Ideal Bookshelf” that includes:

  • The Complete Works of William Shakespeare
  • Discourse on Colonialism, by Aime Cesaire
  • Pedagogy of the Oppressed, by Paolo Friere
  • A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeline L’Engle
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
  • The Wretched of the Earth, by Franz Fanon
  • The Holy Bible
  • Interpreter of Maladies, by Jhumpa Lahiri
  • Le Petit Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

And others!
